The history of the club KBK Renningen e.V.

After having trained as a group of friends in Magstadt and later in Sindelfingen for many years, it was finally decided to found a club. As a result of a long lasting but therefore careful preparation, the meeting for the foundation of the club could take place on the 9th of April, 2006. In this meeting the most important positions were filled and the statute as well as further regulations were put into effect. The founding members of the KBK Sindelfingen e.V. (todays KBK Renningen e.V.) were:

        Abed El Saleh  (Grandmaster Libanon)
Tarek El Saleh  (Master Lebanon/ Germany)
        Georg Groß  (Master Germany)
        Roland Beck
        Alexander Schicker
        Andreas Lindner
        Ute Heimpel

In the beginning the training took place in the primary school ‘Klostergarten’.  Due to the tireless commitment of Roland Beck it was possible to start the first class in Renningen in April 2007. During the first time in Renningen the choral society ‘Frohsinn’ enabled us to train in their room twice a week. Thus it was possible to get our first members in Renningen by offering a trial practice. In November 2007 our president decided to cancel the contract and that is why we again had to look for another room where we could train. But it didn’t take long until Roland Beck found an appropriate room in the industrial area of Renningen. Since this room was supposed to be our new headquarter and our own dojo from now on we didn’t eschew any costs or efforts and renovated this totally empty room in accordance to our own design. When the extension was finally finished and we could start our training there, it didn’t take long until we got our first new members.
